The work environment out on the floor is one of the best I've been in. Everyone gets along really well and has a good work ethic. It's laid back but not lazy. The hours, the equipment and the people are all great. And I really like that the owners are out on the floor. I see them every day. They're involved in what's happening, not just sitting behind a desk. They'll even eat lunch with us.
I like the variety of projects I get to work on. It’s not the same repetitive stuff day after day. I also really appreciate the flexible hours and the fact that leadership took employees' opinions into consideration when deciding how to get more waterjet production hours out of a day. Some of us work 5 am to 1 pm and others work 9 am to 5 pm. We fully cover the day but no one has to work weekends or overtime. I’m treated like a person whose opinion matters.
As a Koss engineer, I'm involved in how things are put together out on the floor. I really like the hands-on part of my job rather than just being a paper-pusher. I also like the family-owned atmosphere as opposed to a corporate environment. It's the best of both worlds: big company benefits with a small company feel. I'm not a number here, it's personal. Plus, the food industry is typically a safe, stable career choice.

Koss offers competitive wages. Our compensation is in line with industry averages for similar positions in the same geographic area. We also take experience level and qualifications into consideration.
Koss offers options for healthcare coverage that include medical, dental, prescription and vision coverage as well as a health savings account (HSA).
Koss offers financial protection in the event of a tragedy. Life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and short term disability benefits are all available.
Some benefits are automatic while some may require contributions from the employee.
We give you the opportunity to save for retirement on a tax-advantaged basis through our 401(k) plan. You may elect to contribute a portion of your income on a pre-tax (regular) or after-tax (Roth) basis – or both.
We also contribute to your 401(k) by matching a portion of what you contribute.
Koss recognizes the importance of providing our employees with the opportunity for rest, recreation and personal activities. We grant annual PTO to all regular, full-time employees.
Koss grants holiday time off to all employees on the following days:
